March 18, 2021, “AKOM named in honor of N.M. Ignatiev” JSC and “Accumulator of Innovations” LLC traditionally held the international scientific and technical conference “Battery Innovation 2021”. Nikolay Ignatiev, Permanent President of the “AKOM Group of Companies” − is the inspirer and initiator of the creation of a single consolidated platform for developing solutions for the development of the battery industry. The initiative to hold “Battery Innovation” this year belongs to his wife Lilia Ignatieva. In the 20th year since the foundation of “AKOM named in honor of N.M. Ignatiev” the event was held in two languages (Russian and English) in a new format for the company and in demand in the context of globalization and digitalization.

This year, the conference was held for the third time on the territory of the Zhigulevskaya Dolina Technopark, where an online broadcast was conducted, and gathered more than 100 participants, including Russian and foreign experts (14 countries, 4 continents), representatives of manufacturers and processors of chemical power sources, manufacturers and suppliers of equipment, components, consumer companies, research institutes, educational institutions, professional industry associations, The Association of European Automotive and Industrial Battery Manufacturers EUROBAT and the International Association INTERBAT.

During the conference, the participants discussed the state of the chemical power source industry, innovative solutions in this area, the marketing of battery products, as well as the prospects for development in the field of batteries for the next decade. The opportunity to conduct business negotiations in a virtual B2B room was provided.

The conference was supported by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Samara region, the Association of Machine-building Enterprises “Cluster of the Automotive Industry”, the Association “Union of Employers of the Samara Region” and many others.
